Junior High Ministry
The Valley Church Junior High Ministry is composed of 7th
and 8th graders from many schools in central Iowa. It is our
belief that, at this age, students really are exploring how God has made them
and we desire to serve them by facilitating an environment where that is
encouraged. We do this in three mediums. One is through sound biblical teaching
and discussion, the second is small group peer to peer discussion facilitated
by adult leaders, and the third is by exploring gifting and abilities through a
variety of service opportunities. We believe that this is a critical time in
the spiritual development of your students and we are committed to listening to
the Lord and partnering with you in this endeavor.
We exist to help students learn how God has created them, who they are in Him,
and what He has for them to do In His Kingdom.
The Valley Church Junior High Ministry is also a parent-friendly
ministry. We operate out of a system we call “Orange”, which signifies the
family and the church working hand in hand. Ultimately the Valley Church Junior
High Ministry intends to support parents as the main spiritual influencer in a
student’s life. We encourage parent participation through service,
periodic parent/staff gatherings, and open communication. We look forward
to meeting and serving you and your family in Valley Church Junior High
Ministry.
