Valerie Reum

Special Needs Assistant

Valerie is an animal lover and photography hobbyist. She grew up in central Illinois and attended college at the University of Illinois where she met her husband, Dirk. Together they have 4 children, the youngest of which is adopted from China. Through that child, Valerie entered the world of special needs parenting and learned just how vast, complicated, and joyful it could be. She first got involved with Hand in Hand through Night to Shine. The people she met through that event and the purpose of the ministry were so amazing that she wanted to stay involved when God opened the door to allow her to join the staff in April 2016. Email Valerie
